QMOTD: Otafuku x Medetai

So originally I wanted to go to Sons of Thunder for their poke but that stupid 6 train bypassed 33rd ST for no reason. I transferred to the R train at Union Square and I got off at 8TH ST NYU. From there, I let both my feet took me wherever they wanted to go to. as soon as I stopped in front of Otafuku, I knew I had to get in. I mean kinda funny tho, I have been wanting to go to Otafuku for quite some time. 😉

Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki combo. I chose shrimp okonomiyaki.

To Sum Up: I can honestly say that this is the best Takoyaki I have ever had in New York City. period. They were very generous with the filling inside the tako balls – the tako was pretty big. One portion consists of 6 tako balls and they were cooked to perfection. They were not skimpy with the bonito flakes too. As for the okonomiyaki, well I have had better okonomiyaki elsewhere so next time I will just come back for the takoyaki. Or perhaps try their yakisoba and taiyaki!

Conclusion: I will be back! 😀

The Foodie Duos: Valentine’s Day 2016

Hello!

How’s your Valentine’s Day y’all?

This year, BB and CC decided to celebrate V-Day a little bit different. Because of the frigid cold weather, they stayed home on February 14th but they went to dinner and show on the 13th. 🙂

TFD was in the mood for Cuban food so they went to Guantanamera on 56th and 8th for some delicious Cuban feast. They had chicken croquettes for appetizer, Seafood paella for entrée, and also ordered a nice Mojito! After dinner, they went to Marquis Theatre to watched On Your Feet the Broadway musical! Talked about going Cuban all night long!

Then on V-Day, they stayed home with the folks and enjoyed nice cupcakes, mille crepes, tea, and also a bottle of Dolcetto wine!

Enjoy the videos and Happy Valentine’s Day!

Yours Truly 🙂
